{Lucky Seven} Minneapolis, MN Child Photography

I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me.
I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.
Jimi Hendrix

In 10 days my daughter will be a 2nd grader. At a new school.
Her brother will be with her as a brand new Kindergarten Learner.
It is closer and is our neighborhood school, fits our lifestyle.
I believe in Neighborhood Schools.
It builds Community, Peace, Relationships...
Her old school is great.
School Choice is tough.
Oye.
We are in, not lost in Translation.
As I picked her up today,
We walked past the Peace Garden
I stopped. Looked. Whipped out the camera.
Embarrassed the bunches out of her...
Savored
every last bit...
Cause her new school is great...
But doesn't have a Peace Garden...

{Blowing in the wind} Minneapolis, MN Fine Art Photography

"A sense of calm came over me. More and more often I found myself thinking, "This is where I belong. This is what I came into this world to do."
— Jane Goodall

My entire life, I said I would not have children. Then things happened.
Through it all. Good. Bad. High. Low...etc...
I am blessed to be a mother....
It is not my job...
It is part of my soul.
Happy Mother's Day to all....Because the definition of Motherhood is HUGE...
From teacher, to friend, neighbor, mentor, etc...
Blessings. Thanks.

“As long as these pants are square and this sponge is bob, I will not let you down!
-Spongebob Square Pants

Next year both of my kids will be in school.
Life goes fast.
They are both going to new school.
Today I took my eldest to look around, since she is moving to a new school.
She amazed me at how brave she was and how she took it in.
Thanks to the School Social Work (small plug for a profession that is essential to kids. FYI)...
soooo....
After, we went had fun and a special day together just us,
which seem few and far between these days
Sigh. Weep. Smiles. Tears...:)
Next week is Kindergarten Orientation for my youngest.
Sigh.Weep.Smiles. Tears...
But I can only handle so much Spongebob and MOA...
Maybe a ds game..:)
Because we all know boys are "tough" and the second child can take much more than the first one can;)

There are lives I can imagine without children but none of them have the same laughter & noise.

{Stick to the Status Quo?} Twin Cities Sports Photographer

Careers and higher education are leading to the masculinization of women, with enormously dangerous consequences to the home, the children, and our country. When our boys come home from war, what kind of girls will they be coming home to? And now the most disgusting example of this sexual confusion: Mr. Walter Harvey of Harvey bars is presenting us with women’s baseball. Right here in Chicago, young girls plucked from their families are gathered at Harvey Field, to see which one of them can be the most masculine. Mr. Harvey, like your candy bars, you’re completely… nuts!
