{A few} Twin Cities Fine Art Portraiture

Sharing a few favorites from recent sessions. This time of year is quite busy and it is difficult to find time to blog full previews.
Enjoy the pics and this fabulous fall weather!

{Ryan} Woodbury, MN Senior Portrait Photographer

A preview of Ryan, Woodbury High School Class of 2011. One of the most polite, easy going and creative young men I have had the pleasure of photographing. It was a great morning spent exploring the grounds of Como and recording this important time in his life. Best wishes as you embark on this exiting time of new discoveries and change!

"I know there is strength in the differences between us. I know there is comfort, where we overlap."
— Ani DiFranco

I had two great sessions this weekend with a one year old lady and an eighteen year old young adulthood. One at the start and one at the end of the adventure called childhood.

{Let The Great World Spin} Minneapolis, MN Fine Art Photography

"I know already that I will return to this day whenever I want to.
I can bid it alive. Preserve it.
There is a still point where the present, the now, winds around itself, and nothing is tangled.
The river is not where it begins or ends,
but right in the middle point,
anchored by what has happened and what is to arrive.
You can close your eyes and there will be a light snow falling in New York,
and seconds later you are sunning upon a rock in Zacapa,
and seconds later still you are surfing through the Bronx on the strength of your own desire.
There is no way to find a word to fit around this feeling.
Words resist it.
Words give it a pattern it does not own. Words put it in time.
They freeze what cannot be stopped. Try to describe the taste of a peach.
Try to describe it. ."

{Logan} Plymouth, MN Senior Portrait Photographer

“As for the future, your task is not to foresee it, but to enable it.”
Antoine de Saint-Exupery

A preview of a recent senior session. I had a great time spending the afternoon with Logan and her family as she prepared for the beginning of her senior year at Wayzata High School. She carries with her grace and beauty that shines from the inside, out. There is no doubt that this year will hold special memories and that her future is as bright and hopeful as her fantastic smile and spirit.
