Open House

Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 14th and the 15th. I will be hosting a Spring Open House at the studio. It will be a chance for people to come and visit, look around and enjoy perhaps a new part of the city you've never been. I will post tomorrow a list of activities for the weekend. It will include Mini-sessions, coffee/wine time, displays, music fun and tours, and a display of the Genmarie clothing. This is will be casual, fun and a good time....much like my photo shoots. So take a look at your calendars and find a time to stop in!

Genmarie Shoot Preview

Nothing makes me happier than taking pictures. Nothing makes me even more happier than meeting new people, taking their pictures in beautiful clothing in my new studio which has stunning natural light. What a great Sunday I had. I opened up my studio to new friends and showed off the beautiful Genmarie clothing line that I am a part of. I met new people, caught up with old friends, took pictures and got to know my studio a little better. Keep checking for more pictures as I get caught up, over my cold and post em!

New logo by the amazing Erika Jessop

I finally am getting around to post about my new logo that was designed by the amazing artist Erika Jessop. You can find her work here http://www.erikajessop.com/. I fell upon Erika during one of my morning Flickr runs. I was immediately drawn to her art, style and personality that came shining through all her work. She is one talented lady and a pure joy to work with. If you are in need of graphic design or just gorgeous art work to make your life and home happy please check out her website. Absoultley amazing! Dance Like No one is watching...

It's moments like these that make me melt. I love the spirit of her and how she throws herself into her dance and how free she feels in herself. My wish for my daughter is that she grows up and keeps this beautiful spirit. It can get so easily lost.
The clothing she is wearing is from my favorite designer Genmarie. I love the fabric how it fits my daughter and oh the colors. The colors and patterns make me so happy. I could be biased as I am now a trunk keeper for the line but honestly it's just beautiful and so are the women who work for the company and the designer herself Christine. All moms like me with young daughter's. All who have the same wish as I do. That their girls grow up to...

A Very Special Session

I had to share a very special session. I always attempt to do my own children's portraits but most times they suffer from "PKS" or Photographer's Kid Syndrome as I call it. I get pull down eyes, tongues sticking out etc. Not that those are not precious in their own way. My oldest turned five and after some serious negotiation I got the start of some pretty cute pictures I must say. She was a tough negotiator but a easy client to work with the end.
