It's no secret I love flowers but I'm not very versed in their names. I'll often have fun making up names based on what they look like to me. I thought these beauties..when I finally realized they were real, mind you, because from a distance they did not appear so...looked like saucers. As if they were made to catch and hold things dropped into their hands. Similar to Poppies, their texture appeared like tissue paper which was fascinating since they held their structure so well. Especially with all the rain and wind we have had here. Lately, I seem to be noticing and appreciating the backs of flowers as well. That just seems odd but if you really look at a flower I think it really is not odd at all...Just a different view. Which I'm all about. Which is no secret either!
